Rev limit should be the same. It does shift a bit faster, and the launch control is way more aggressive (launches from about 5K and engages very aggressively)

Yea, I meant to say the launch revs. 4500

Do want but I don't have a battery tender :taser:. Would that little plug-in box BMW sells be sufficient enough or would it be ok to load the software without?

Is there anything other than the launch control that changes? Just wondering...

Also, what would happen if I tried to launch at 4500 with my 6MT? Not about to try it...

Supposedly it rev matches more aggressively and shifts faster, but idk.

The computer maintains traction via clutch modulation. Pretty sure we'd burn out with a 4500rpm launch :P

Thought so. I bet hooking a launch at 4500 must feel amazing as well as help 0-60 times. I'm guessing a car with headers and good tires will launch in the low to mid 4's.

Thanks for the good work Obioban and terraphantm :thumbsup2:

I flashed my friend's car a few months ago with the csl smg software a few months ago. no complaints from him yet. he loves it.

I really wouldn't recommend either. You might get away with it if your battery is new, but why risk it? Everyone calls NCS Expert dangerous, but this is on another level as far as things that can go wrong. I erased all the data on my DME at one point and recovering it was difficult to say the least

Btw: As cool as the CSL and Euro launch control is, do realize that it does do a number on the clutch. There is a reason that BMW voided the clutch warranties after 7 launch control uses in Europe. That's also why we got the gimped launch control here - BMW felt they could never get away with voiding the warranty for the use of a built in feature. As noted in the video, and from what I remember from when I got a ride with my friend: there is definitely a clutch smell after doing the LC.
