Re: Dedicated Data Acquisition Options

There are some great comments here but as someone else hinted at, looking at data makes you feel cool smart and even like you know what you're doing. However you can accomplish the same thing without...

Re: If you could pick one tire

I've had good success with AD08Rs as a duel purpose tire. Otherwise I would select Dunlops or the RE-71R.

Re: Dedicated Data Acquisition Options

What are you looking to accomplish? Data acquisition is a funny question because most don't know what to do with the output. I have seen many people treat it as a glorified gauge but I would say it's...

Re: How much did data acq help?

Solo data is useless unless you know what to look for when analyzing. Otherwise, trying to glimpse at the split or predictive timer every corner will be very distracting. It's better to use the...

Re: Is a strut brace worth it?

It's interesting we are are talking tenths of a mm of movement. The noise in this test would have been pretty severe if the chassis was stiffly sprung and the engine mounts were solid.

Re: Track Day / HPDE / AutoX video thread!

TrackJunky do you have a tear-offs on your helmet? Also in A-solo were you running drills that the club assigned you guys to try? Or just playing on track?

Re: Front wheel well liners on a track car - keep or remove?

Removing the front can help remove the turbulent air from the front wheels. However, it would be better if the vent was either at the top or rear of the wheel fender.

Re: Lang Racing Splitter vs Bimmerworld

That video proved for me exactly what I thought, even with trimmed out areo and front canards it still only achieved 35% front DF. Interesting stuff.

Re: Lang Racing Splitter vs Bimmerworld

That's a fair response, but I don't think the only areo that works needs to extend 5 feet in front of the car.

Also, just because everyone else runs it doesn't always equate as the only solution....

Re: What's going on with these rotors after trackday?

When things are happening at a slow rate of speed the rapid balancing will happen in stages and it will feel choppy.

@m3elmo, the 0 > 70 > 90 > 70 > 0 is a good idea of what you think you're...

Re: Lang Racing Splitter vs Bimmerworld

Can I ask why the front splitter needs to be so big/large? Is it necessary to extend that far beyond the front bumper?

Um. I guess I read that wrong. I thought or in my mind the OP was running out of fuel. I guess you guys are putting down the lap times. I guess I need to push the go pedal harder.

So... what are your spring rates in the front? Also have you always had these spring rates on the car (especially at the front)?

Or better yet, have you also run NT01s? My guess is that this is a...
