I think wheels are a personal choice. I use my stock wheels for everyday use and for AutoX I have a set of Kosei wheels 15x8 light and cheap plus tires are cheaper.

I am running Nt01. I used to run RA1. The NT01 has proven to be a much better tire. It does seem to wear a little faster. Not overally concerned about it. I have not heard good things about R888.

There is also Willow Springs Raceway, Buttonwillow, and a new track that was just built about 3 hours a way.

If you want to be closer to the beach you can try Encinites, Luecadia, etc. That general area. You could then jump accross the 56 over to RB. Someone else might be able to speak better to traffic...

I had problems with 3/2 shifts in sweepers durring AutoX I replaced the transmission mounts and that did not help. It was not until I went with new motor mounts that the problem went away.

LOL, I only run the black wheels for AutoX. There is about an 8lb difference between the Style 5 wheels/tires and and the Stock with the Toyo RA1. If is very noticable out on the AutoX coarse.
