Re: The Official E46 M3 Oil Analysis Results Thread

Valid concern, but compare Total Quartz at 23ppm (771mi) vs Ravenol at 24ppm (482mi) vs the Red Line where lead went down to 9ppm (239mi), then 2ppm (595mi).

Keep in mind these are track miles...

Re: R&T: BMW M2 Competition pkg vs Camaro SS 1LE

Stock meaning no mods, same tires vs M's. The M's require camber plates at the least. It's insane that after five generations of M's these cars still require camber plates to be driven on track.

Try again. The Camaro will out handle the BMW, and it's got an extra 120mm combined tire width to work with. BMW doesn't make track cars.

Do whatever is quickest. I would just make sure the suspension is down before you tighten the end links to the bar.

Re: Is my rear sway bar under tension?

If you jack up only one side and undo the bolt on the link to the bar, you might find it's hard to remove the bolt until you get the sway bar back to level, due to the tension of the sway bar.

Re: Is my rear sway bar under tension?

It won't matter much because they aren't height adjustable, so maybe if you do it with the car on ramps that might be easiest/best. That way you can also check clearance between the axles and the...

Yes. Will it make a difference? Not unless you are HPDE championship contender. I set my shit up with my body weight in plates on the driver's seat, because I'm out there to win it.

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

It sounds like there was some issue in the final minutes of the auction where some users weren't able to bid. Maybe that's why it went for a lower price than expected.
