Re: Comprehensive MSS54/MSS54HP DME Information

Hmm, I thought the weird issues might have been deleted to EWS-related bugs. Will have to experiment a bit. I wonder if manufacturing date of the DME has anything to do with it.

Also p0lar -- if...

Sweet. That means its ~$16 / .5L or in other words, 1/3 the price of BMW's (granted you still end up paying $65 since it's sold in 1L bottles)

Re: Comprehensive MSS54/MSS54HP DME Information

Does this mean that there's some small (hardware) difference with the MSS52/4 (non-HP) that makes it not like the larger EEPROMs? I'm now wondering if an HP would be a better spare ECU since I have...

If all you care about is engine communication rather than the look of the newer clusters, then maybe running z4m cluster electronics would do the trick

Re: M-track Retrofit: Success

I've looked through the MK20, and there doesn't seem to be much configurability. The slip tolerances and such are most likely in the bits of the EEPROM that NCS doesn't touch

Don't think NCS Expert will work -- we haven't been able to replicate the actual ZCP button behavior on non-ZCP/CSL cars, so disabling it isn't really possible (via known methods)

I wouldn't worry about the offset. Z3M has the same rear bearings as us, and they run ET8 from the factory.

If you set "PIN49_BFD" to aktiv, then it'll activate your rear fogs with whatever thresholds you have set for BFD stage 2.

Check for rocks/screws lodged between your exhaust and chassis/braces. Mine acted pretty similar until I found such a rock under section 2. Eventually it went on to develop problems at higher revs
