Re: Ordered a Z4 mirror
Z4 one is nice. I got one for $100 shipped before they started to get popular. The dimming is nicer than the factory mirror IMO (I had the SOS mirror). Based on the symbol, mine wasn't made by Magna...

Re: Brake Force Display for E46
Need CI31 at a minimum. The settings between CI31 are a little different compared to CI32+ (I'm running CI36 fwiw)
You also need a sufficiently new cluster. I think it's CI23 for M3s, but I need...

Re: Comprehensive MSS54/MSS54HP DME Information
I think the M3 vanos has more sensors for higher resolution, and it runs off high pressures unlike the non-M
And you can use any z4M clutch with your transmission (both GS6-37BZs with the same...

Re: Brake Force Display for E46
To me it looks like it came on pretty late. That driver was deliberately kicking ABS on.
This is what it looks like on mine:

I tested at higher speeds too (no video)...

Re: OEM CSL airbox :D
Even if the official CSL intake is no longer sold, I'd imagine it'd still be possible to get the p54b32 intake through the motorsport catalog. Probably would be something like $15k though

Re: OIL: How much?
While one cylinder is in the compression stroke, the adjacent one wouldn't be... so there should be some pressure loss
Notice he's from Germany. I still cannot explain why this issue would...

Re: Next Big Step - Building up the S54 motor
^ I'd imagine you'd want some really light weight parts and stiffer valve springs. Bearings would probably take a beating either way. Even with all that, you might end up having to destroke it to hit...

Re: OEM Blanks in ZCP/CSL Size?
Hmm. That's odd. When I switched to the "BMW performance" rotors on my 330, I didn't notice any dramatic feel or performance changes. Mainly they were louder under hard braking and stopped better in...

Re: OEM Blanks in ZCP/CSL Size?
Do you feel the difference is due to the rotor entirely? Or could the Euro/ZCP pads be the cause?
Turner's Euro rotors are made by Zimmerman instead of Ate, right? I wonder if the Zimmerman...

Re: head gasket?
I've always wondered about that myself. The various tuners out there claim that US fuel holds them back, which made me think that the difference was in the other direction (high enough MON to offset...

I guess it would be Euro fuel, Euro software, Euro headers, or something about the RHD layout
Of course I'm running Euro software and Euro headers (RHD ones at that), so maybe I should be...

Re: OEM CSL Roofs Still Available from BMW
Can they be lacquered after the fact? $776 is cheap enough that I might just do it (it'd probably sit in my basement for a couple years before actually getting installed though..)
