Default Question on the Vert? Look here First.

If you have any questions specific to the e46 M3 Vert, please post them here. Please be Vert specific. For example, the location of sound system components are in different places than the coupe. Questions of ridigity, part numbers, weight (and weight reduction), top maintainence, etc are all issues specific to the vert.

Not sure if this is okay, but here's a great thread for DIY noise reduction for the hardtop:

I always use Ragg Topp cleaner and sealant. It's an amazing product. Makes water drops on the fabric bead up like wax on paint!

OCD Garage carries it.

BMW sells the cleaner which I highly recommend as well as the conditioner. After that, if you haven't already done so you should get their impregnator which works as a repellant. My top is like new and I only soap it up every other month if needed, otherwise I hose it off.

Perhaps others will chime in but I've had excellent success with BMW cleaning products for the top.
