Default Sport Mode makes me happy

Took the car out of "track toy" retirement about a month ago. Been chug chuging around for a bit (yawn). Re-discovered the sport mode and really like the car again. I wish there was a way to keep it on - all the time with out having to buy new mapping. Any options?

BTW with S mode on - heel and toe works really well - much less of an effort.

For what it's worth, Sport mode doesn't do anything except change the throttle response. There is no extra HP or any type of kick from pressing the button. You get the same response by mashing the gas pedal. WOT is the same with and without Sport. Whatever though, glad you're into the car again.

Yes yes - but it does improve the overall feel - IMO.

Sport mode definitely allows you to get a feel of how powerful the M3 really is. However it sucks when you are in a parking lot, with sport mode on. :p

i pushed the sport botton for the first time yesterday. i LOVE it! i realize you dont really gain anything from it, only reason i want to use it is because i am used to cars with sensitive gas pedals. Is the sport botton okay to just keep on all the time? maybe ill use more gas with it constantly on? im okay with that.. but if it starts really increasing wear on some mechanical parts for some reason i wont keep it on.

More gas consumption? Depends on how you drive alone.
Increase in mechanical issues? Depends on how you dirve alone.

I find that with Sport on - I drive the car better - no more luging or drive train noise for sure. Shifting where the car should (4k+).

sport mode allows you to beat civic's, evo's sti's and z06's.

agreed. sport mode makes the car easier to drive cuz the throttle response is so much quicker. less effort == more fun.
