Angry E46 M3 Rear Bumper Sag Fix: Please Help! (with Pics)

Just spent the last 6hrs trying to install these brackets to fix the rear bumper sag with no luck!

Attached are some photos (sorry for the quality) but I have no idea where to place them or how to install them once I remove the inner fender guard. Can anyone help?

This is very frustrating and with your help, maybe there is a simple solution. I appreciate the help!

Thanks!

Last pic: Flip it over! The hook is supposed to be upwards then you'll be fine!

Place it where the bumper meets the fender.

Took some pics, didn't turn out that good but I hope you get the idea. The hook is uppwards and pointed back i believe. Just push the part on the bumper and the hook leans inside the well.

That clip you got on the last pic is upside dow. The slotted end goes onto a threaded stud which has a nut that holds that the top of clip in place. Also there is some travel that can be acclomplished. The bottom end is which hold the front of the bumper from sagging. It snaps into place. After you have it snapped into place you can adjust some what and then tighten the nut. GL.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I kinda realized that the clip is upside down, the only issue is that there is no stud/nut that would hold the clip in place. There is nothing to fix the position of that hook in place.

If you look at Philly_Swedem's 1st pic, you could still see the metal clip on resting ontop of the edge. Is that correct? Wouldn't that be noticeable?

Thanks

The clip holds on to the bumper AND fender and the hook rests really hard inside the fender and sits really really hard.

I was able to take this pic with the wheel on so it's not centered pefectly but hopefully you get the idea. There should be some kind of stud for the clip to attach/slide into. GL, my friend.

In fact I did a rear bumper diy but I might of deleted the pics.

Wow, very good pic! This picture answers a lot of questions. I would to let you know again that my car does not have that bolt to secure the clip. I may need to create my own to fix this issue, otherwise, the clip may just fall off over time.

Thanks for posting the picture, your help is great!

There is a thread here somewhere that shows how to diy and the hook is supposed to be upwards.
