Exclamation Tiny Rust Spot!

I discovered a very small rust spot on my left quarter panel. Here is a pic of it (dark orange spot center of pic). Have you guys had this problem and if so, what steps did you take to remedy it?

Should I mask off the area and get some of that rust killer that turns to black primer, then apply touch-up paint?

I'd throw a little navy jelly on there remove the rust then throw some Dr. Colorchip or have it airbrushed and cleared. If you remove the rust witht he navy jelly then you can just put wax on it and it will prevent the rust your choice.

Do you know if the navy jelly will damage the surrounding paint? I have Dr. Colorchip

That looks like very minimal surface rust. Like a paint chip that just wasn't touched up right away. As a quick remedy, you could just tape off the surroundings, lightly sand off the rust and touch-up/clear coat then polish or langka remaining residue after it dries.
