Default Help with trim installation

Hello. Just noticed that a piece of exterior window trim is missing(e46 M3). It is a piece of plastic/rubber that sits on the leading edge of the rear window.

In the attached diagram it is piece #10. It looks like it is attached using tape or adhesive to the outside of the rear window. Has anyone had experience with this?

I ordered the part, and the guy at the parts counter guessed the install would be with double sided tape.

I hope someone out there has done this install? Thanks.

Most likely, I recently purchased #8 on that diagram and it came attached with the double-sided tape required for the install. GL
