Only had my 2008 M3 a week and hit a dog :-( how much ££ is the damage gona cost?

couldnt believe my luck! picked up my m3 only last friday, LOVE IT!! went out in it on friday night and some guy runs across a duel carridge way infront of me, his dog follows and BANG, straight into the front of my car! I feel sorry for the dog, but why didnt the owner have it on a lead?! and why did he run across a duel carrigeway at night knowing his dog was going to follow him!?

the dogs a gonner, and i think ive gotten quite lucky as the damage doesnt appear to be too severe. tell me what you think and whether you think its a new bumper? and how much do you think im looking at paying to fix it? my local bmw dealership are looking at it for me tmrw.

first of all i did NOT kill the dog intentionally.. as far as i'm concerned the owner killed his own dog the moment he ran across the road, at night, knowing his dog would follow him. I couldnt have done anything different.

And invisiblae scratches?? I'll have you know the car needs a new bumper as the scratches are actually cracks. The bill will be £900 So I have a right to be worried about them.

Can't say i've had many helpfull replies at all, thanks for those who did give me a decent reply but it will be the last time i'm posting here!

Poor dog...the owner makes a foolish decision and the dog pays for it. Should have been the other way around, then I'd care about your bumper more.

damage seems to be minimal - all u need is new air duct housing or whatever that plastic piece is - poor dog

- i hit a cat by accident in my e46 and had similar looking damage, but when the tech took the bumper off it turns out that there was a lot of broken plastic pieces that needed replacement

guess you wont know for sure how bad it is until you take it in to a shop, good luck
