Default Reset alarm without FOB??

My Remote died last year on me while the car was armed. I removed the fuse at the control unit under the glove box and disabled the alarm. i could drive it without any issues for the rest of the summer. I stored the car for the winter, and removed battery. When i took it out this year, i was hoping to replace my FOB. When i went to put the fuse back in the control box, the alarm goes off. How can i disarm it, without a remote... and reset it to a default mode?

thoughts?

Starting the car will disable the alarm.

It's cool, I went through the same motions with my E46. Locked myself out one day and only had the plastic credit card key. My game plan, and only hope that the alarm would stop blaring, was that starting the car would shut it off. Luckily it worked, because my remote key wasn't in the car after all...
