Unhappy For anyone who used Sybesmas to replace their leaky rear view mirror

So it's finally happened on my car as well. Noticed a big bubble inside the rear view mirror No leak so far but I removed it anyways just to be safe. I read up on what needs to be done to get it replaced from sybesmas.

Question I have is.....the mirror they send as a replacement...is that a new re-manufactured mirror or is it someone else's mirror that gets repaired and resold. The fact that they ask for my defective mirror to be sent it makes me think that they fix it and sell it to another customer. Anyone who got this done...how was the finish/quality of the mirror you received?

Thanks.

I had mine on my E39 M5 replaced by them and the one they sent looks brand new. Going on a year now, and no problems. If it was remanufactured, I wouldn't know it. It still comes with a warranty, and it's hard to beat for $75 or whatever they charge for it.

Could you please post up the current instructions to get it replaced here? Mine needs to be sent in as well and I've been too lazy (for shame). Time to get it done.

I had the same thoughts, but the replacement looked new. For the price I wouldn't have cared.

Same here, the replacement looked brand new (but did notice from a sticker inside the casing that the mirror was originally in a MY2003 M3). In any case, couldn't be happier with Sybesmas!

Do it, the finish and quality look brand new. Can't remember the instructions, but do a search. I do remember it being easy and fast, just email a photo of the wiring on the back of the mirror.

I am sure it isn't brand new but the mirror isn't something that people touch all the time so it is likely that everyone's looks quite new to start when they send it in. Mine looked new though.

They take the housing and mounting bracket from returned mirrors and refurb them with the updated dimming mirror. If you look closely at the mounting prongs, you'll see it's not a new mirror. Mine was not new, although the housing looked new. The effin thing rattles over bumps though
