Default IS PPI Necessary On a 06 M3 With Warranty?

Hi,

I wanted to see if it's useless to get a Pre Purchase Inspection done on a 2006 BMW M3 that still has factory warranty. I figured if something goes wrong, I can get BMW to fix it, regardless or am I wrong? Would you get a PPI done on a car with warranty?

Sure would. There are thousands of things that could go wrong that aren't covered by warranty. Plus, even if they would be covered shouldn't you know about them before buying the car? I spent $130 on mine and I used items found by the PPI to negotiate $2100 off the agreed upon price I was going to pay for the car before the PPI.

Yes. I had PPI's performed on three different cars and passed on the first two. The third, an 06 with 42k was the keeper (its due to arrive on Thursday). Money well spent.

Can't put a price on peace of mind. Don't skimp out your about to make a big purchase I think knowing the health of something your about to buy is always a smart move.

Default Is it necessary?

Is it necessary to unzip your pants when you pee?

No, it's not absolutely necessary...but you would be a whole lot more comfortable if you did...

Absolutely 100%. Don't you want to know what you are buying? The same is true for maintenance records review. Don't buy without it.
