Update 07-14:
Hey everyone, After some consideration I believe it's best to postpone the dyno day until Fall. It seems that middle of the summer is not an ideal date; some people are away in vacations, others won't be able to have their car ready on time; and also the temperatures are climbing making this date not ideal. I think it's best to set up a date in September so that everyone can attend. I hope this sounds good to everyone. I apologize for the late notice. The price/# of runs will be unchanged and there will still be a $100 price for the highest HP BMW. I will keep this thread updated and send individual PMs to all those interested. Thanks, Kevin ----------- Original post: I'd like to gauge interest for a dyno day for us San Diegans. A few of us have dynoed our cars at Dynomite in Santee and the guys there are great. They don't have a GT1 computer but I perfected the dyno mode trick and we dynoed 01s, 02s, 03.5 and up successfully ^^ I talked to them about setting up a dyno day and they are down for it. It would be setup on a Sunday (so we can use the whole parking lot) EDIT: July 18th The price would be only $45 for 4 pulls, including print out and A/F if you want that. The dyno is a Dynojet. Put your name down if you are interested. Dyno days are always fun and you get to know how much your car is putting down

I dynoed at the same spot as kaiv and kizmetm3 and recommended them to go there! I'm up for it once again!

Kaiv,
How'd you get it to work? I've been to Dynomite 3 times and Jaime and I couldn't get the damn car to rev past 6500 rpm, even with the whole hold dsc for 10 seconds, turn sport mode on and start the car trick. (I've got an SMG)

Quote:
1) car off 2) turn key to position 2 (everything on but engine off) and wait a couple seconds that the lights on the cluster finish turning on/off. 3) hold DSC button 8 seconds 4) press sport mode 5) start the car 6) rev car to limiter (it will stop at 6.5k, still) 7) turn off car 8) repeat 1) to 5). The car will now be able to rev all the way to 8k You basically have to do the prodecure twice. The first time looks like it does nothing but it actually somehow enables the second time to work. When you've done this leave the car on and do your dyno runs. If you turn the car off you'll have to redo the whole procedure.
