Default is anyone running rear shock tower mount reinforcement w/ jt-designs or other rsm?

here is the tms rear shock tower mount reinforcement kit:

here is the jt-designs rsm:

jt-designs actually recommends installing bmw factory reinforcement plates with their rsm. this is taken from their site:

Quote:
Note: When any BMW necessitates the replacement of its rear shock mounts, JT-Designs highly recommends simultaneously installing BMW factory reinforcement plates (Part #51-71-8-413-359).
the part number mentioned is actually for z3 oem reinforcement plates. it is #16 seen below sold in pairs:

i am wondering if anyone is running the oem reinforcement plates or the beefier turner ones.

tia.

I ran the Z3 reinforcement plates and the "shop repair" rsms on the E36 and they were great. Now I'm running Ground Control's rsms (street) which are great too. Frankly you'd be fine with the OE cheapos, but you'd want to change them more frequently. Generally speaking, people who have problems with their rear mounts or towers are those that know the mounts fail and didn't put new mounts in in time.

thanks.

the reason i posted this thread is to see if the bolts that come with the jt-designs rsm's are long enough to install the turner reinforcement plates as well. i just wanted confirmation.

your feedback was helpful though. i have been running rsm's i got from bhs a while back (not sure who makes them) since i installed pss9s. since i will be selling my pss9s, i figured i would sell them with the rsm's. i have order the jt-designs ones.
