I just installed these on my M3 and I have to say that they are the best braided stainless lines that I have seen to date (and I've been through 3 other brands of lines). Fittings are just like factory as are the grommets that attach to the brake line brackets. Quality is a bar above the rest that I have tried.

What specifically makes you say that?

A lot of the track guys I run with replace their lines every 1-2 years as a safety precaution. It does make sense that someone would try more than one brand of line, and they DEFINITELY have slight differences between them. I've seen busted (stock) brake lines on heavily tracked Lotus cars so this is one of the critical items that need attention if you intend on being on the track.

I assume these lines will fit a ZCP equipped car?

What other ones have you tried? What was wrong with them that you decided to switch?

I agree, those are odd statements without a little backup.

My statement was overbroad as I have not tried every single line on the market. I qualified my statement as necessary but for specifics, see below.

I tried UUC, Goodridge, and one other brand that I can't recall what it was. I went through those on another E46 M3 that I had a couple of years ago. The Goodridge were fine but the lines were uncoated leaving the braided stainless exposed. Just did not like that for a street car. The UUC's were so-so quality on the basis of the fittings and the thermal plastic that was formed around the fittings. Just not consistently/neatly finished. Also, the grommet that holds the front lines was just plain junk and you had to use a zip tie to keep it in place - and would still not stay exactly where it was supposed to. It would move as the suspension traveled while driving. Another thing was the fitting/grommet for the rear lines where they join on the line bracket. There was a lot of play in the fitting and the clip was not as secure as I would have liked it.

The ECS lines are the closest thing I've seen to an OEM line. Finish, at least on the set I received, was very consistent from one line to another and again, the fittings and grommets are just like OEM in terms of appearance and fitment.

I wish they made a clutch line as I've gotten one from UUC (which was blocked from the factory and would not allow fluid to flow), and three from Agency Power (one to replace the bad UUC line, one for my current M3 but which also had a blockage in the line, and the last as a replacement for the bad Agency Power line). I have to say that the last line Agency Power sent was very well finished and had no blockage. It was also red to match the ECS brake lines.

Hope this helps.

Joe: How do these differ from any other SS lines? Compare differences to lets say Stoptech...

Our lines have been designed and engineered to be as close to Genuine OEM BMW as possible.

From our fittings to our coatings we only use DOT approved lines and hardware!

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
