Default muffler advice needed

I am running stepped headers. with everything else stock. In a few months I will be running 200 cell cats and I like to know what is a good muffler to run...

1. I don't want too much drone.
2. I want it to be lighter than stock box, by 20-25lb.
3. I don't like the idea of the tips having a Y shape such as Rogue.
4. I don't want it to be any louder having an AP muffler on a stock exhaust system. anything louder is just too much for me
5. I like it to fit right too.

I was thinking of miltek, essinmann race....please give me some ideas.

also does less drone mean less flow...?

Just installed my eisenmann race and love it.
I think by far either eisenmann race or gruppe m u won't go wrong.

Good luck

The Eisenmann race is out if you're looking for weight. The muffler is not that much lighter or smaller than stock. The rogue is smaller and lighter but I'm not quite sure what you mean about the "y"

Well, drone is how the increased resonance sounds to you; it's different for each person.
I'm reading good reports about the Scorza muffler. From the reports, it meets your 5 requirements.

notice how the tips look like a Y. that is my main problem. It is really 1 pipe made into two.

paciotti959: How much does the Esseinmann race weight ?

normcaldwell: I have considered Scoroza but the tips have the same issue as Rogue

well I was in the same boat as you, wanted a nice looking exhaust, no drone and not too loud. AA exhausts are very nice and agressive looking, fully polished stainless steel, I was running a Gen 3 and it was too loud for my taste, I just bought their new Gen 6, a bit lighter not by much and sound is very nice, deeper sound, a bit louder than stock, rasp is 98% gone thanks to the two in-line resonators and also I have a RE rasp pipe, headers no cats. I love the staggered tips on the new Gen 6, very nice piece

well I have your setup with euro cats instead of the 200 cell. I have a milltek section II and used to have a Milltek muffler. Recently traded to a Supersprint Race. I loved the milltek but it was a little quiet for my tastes. The Supersprint is quite a bit louder but I love it. I would recommend the Milltek for what you are asking.

Plus they have some of the best looking tips on the market.
