Default Passenger window squeaking issue....

Guys, it's just problem after problem with the M, why do I still own it? Anyways, recently, my passenger side window has been making this squeaking sound when I open it, only initially, but as the window goes down all the way, it stops... Basically it only happens near the top when it initiallly opens.. Could it be because I open my windows too much that it is starting to break down? Or could it be something else? MY driver side window is fine when I open it, no sounds or anything like that... I never knew if your a frequent window opener, it would stress the motors that work the windows... Help me out! Thanks

Just started happening to me. I was able to temporarily fix it by pressing down on the outside window strip. The one that goes across the door. If you look at mine closely it doesnt lay quite flat near the backside of the door. When I pushed it down, it stopped squeaking. Eventually the strip worked its way back up though.

I had a similar problem with both of my windows (driver and passenger). I also noticed that if I closed the door with the windows down, there would be a loud (embarassing) rattle. Began to notice more road noise and occasional water seepage into the rear of the window when closed as well. Upon research and inspection, I found that the regulator had become loose over time and the top nut on both driver and passenger had actually fallen off (into the door) and the bottom nut was two turns loose. I fished the nuts out of the door cavity with my trusty magnetic pickup tool, applied Loctite to the offending studs and retorqued the nuts. All problems solved!!! 15 minutes per side (roughly) and my worries and gone
