Default Need an enthusiast's opinion

Okay, well im getting im kw2's put on my m3 as soon as xmas is done an over with and i can finally spend some money on myself, butttt while out of state for a month im having my rims refinished due to the fact my father drove my car and bent a rim hitting a pot hole!

note to self : no matter if there blood or not, dont let anyone drive your car if that persons DD is a truck!

MY QUESTIONS FOR YOU:

When i get my rims refinished as of right now im having my SSR SP1 painted jet black with a red ssr logo and red bolts. could somone photoshop these for me so i know what it would look like?

also what would you guys think if i had black anodized lips???
im going for the all black look with hints of red but would the step lip be a no no in this case???
please let me know what you think!

I'd say leave your lip alone, especially if your car is a DD. Your curb rashes will be 10x noticeable and so will the tiny rock chips you'll accumulate.

depends on the look you are going for. IMO "murdered" out wheels (face and lips) is played out. reminds me of dooshy guys in 6/7 series with 22s not lowered. or 300c (you get the point). keep the face black and lips polished or OEM finish the Meisters come in. red lugs or no red lugs it will look good. i had these on my S2000 back in the day. love them.

your right in that aspect. But i am trying to achieve the all black look of my car. but still retaining some flair hence adding some color to the wheel by having the bolts (bolts that hold the 3 piece togather)all red (brembo break red) so it would look some what of a time attack ring.
i do like the stance and the black step lip of the g35..

this is acutally my buddy cars rob. he sold it and has a A5 now. we rulled g35driver with offset. this is my old G35 from 08. the black with black face/lips to me is played out. its nice but i guess since i did it i am over it. i want polished face and lips. (clean never gets old).

trust me when i say this. you'll have this look for 3 months and you'll be bored of it.

^^^^ I'd say almost all black wheels are becoming played out. Not all, but a lot of them. (The G35 posted above is an example where they look good).

I think silver or gunmetal rims look cleaner and/or classier most of the time.
