Bought it back a while ago on March 26th, 2011. Didn't know about this journal then, so I'm starting it now. 2003.5 Alpine White/Black SMG fully loaded with 54,xxx miles on it when I bought it. This is how it looked when he first dropped it off. It was primarily a show car and was in a few magazines, which I thought was pretty cool.

I knew for one I wanted to get rid of the black rims. I swapped back to the OEM 19's, and sold the black VMR V710's to buy my own official first mod to the car. An Eisenmann Race Le Mans Tips 4 x 83mm exhaust. Out of all the exhausts for this car I thought this had the most refined note with no drone. I didn't think of taking any pictures of installing it, since I had no idea about this journal. I took some pictures after giving it a nice wash/detail though.

For a while I drove it as is. One thing that bothered me was that the center console and cup holders were all scratched and beat up. So I ordered a new center console, a short euro tray, and a coin holder. I also picked up a pair of ultimate cup holders since I lost mine to the euro tray. I wired my OEM Aux cable I purchased, from the back of the radio out through the euro tray, a perfect place for my iPhone. I thought it really cleaned up the look of the interior.

December 11th, 2011 - car has 65,678 miles

Today was a very sad sad day. Chicago winters means the car is headed into storage. I followed some of the guides on here referring to winter storage checklists.

1. Gave it a nice wash/wax. 2. Minted out the interior. 3. Full tank of gas and added STABIL. 4. Put a box of baking soda in the interior. 5. Disconnected battery and put it on a auto trickle charger. 6. Painters tape on intake and exhaust pipes. 7. Over inflated tires. 8. Put carpet under the wheels. 9. Car cover

At least I'll have some little things to install when they arrive from the parts fairy (UPS) It's going to be a long winter.

Sad day indeed. The car looks great though. I probably would have kept the VMRs and powdercoated them a gunmetal instead of the black. The volks should be interesting though.

Thanks! I thought about powdercoating them, but in the end they're VMR's. Not my first choice and not the best quality. I'm thinking about gunmetal or graphite on the Volks as well, not 100% sure about the mag blue.

January 2nd, 2012

Some new little mods came in I got for Christmas from my Dad and girlfriend.

OEM Amber LED Tails
OEM Amber Corners & Sidemarkers
OEM M3 Floormats
OEM Amber bulbs
2 M T-Shirts

I think the ambers will give it a new and unique look, and new floormats will really clean up the interior.

Something I treated myself to is arriving on Wednesday Check back then for an update!

Car looks great man! I can't wait to see it with the Amber corners.

Do you plan on selling your current clear LED Tail Lights? If they're OEM, I would definitely be interested.

I will post a picture in a little of the ambers. With this crazy nice weather I snuck it out of storage to put them on and cruise a little. Only if I had the 4.10's installed that are sitting in my room...
