Exclamation Active Autowerke new set up

I finally finish installing my supercharger Inter-cooler upgrade. I posted a pic of the new manifold with the 42 design catch can. I notice the stage 1 manifold on the HKS set up seems to be bigger and slightly lighter than the previous Rotrex set up. It is not a significant difference such as the one between stage 1 and 2 but it is def bigger. In case you are wondering where I found the Rotrex IC. A friend/ forum member has the stage 1 rotrex supercharger.

The new generation 7 manifold certainly has had more thought put in to it because the velocity stacks are much better made compare to the generation 6. The manifold itself is a good 5lb heavier than the generation 6. The bottom inlet on the generation 7 is much bigger also( 3.5 inches ) They use a reducer design going from the 2.5 inch inter-cooler charge pipe to the 3.5 inch as it gets closer to the manifold.

Also for anyone who is going to replace or add a BOV to their set up, I recommend using the Tial Q bov. Unfortunately due to the aftermarket hood the bov would rub so I had to keep it under the manifold but just from the short inspection drive, it is a match made in heaven.
I am in the process of making a home made plastic heat shield to basically block the filter from sucking air from underneath the manifold. It is a really tight fit
I will have the car dynoed on Thursday and I will post my dyno results then.
The last time I dynoed there my numbers were so low I decided to supercharge lets hope it will be better this time. (dyno dynamics heart break dyno)

NICE!!! I'm excited for this since I know you've been wanting to upgrade for so long. So is it to my understanding that you pieced together an IC kit of your own using an older Rotrex IC setup? Or did you buy the upgrade. Curious what you did with pulley configuration to run more boost.

I ended up upgrading through active with their newest versions of everything. I do not recommend piecing it together, IMO after it is all said and done the time and relatively less money will come to be the same. The install was not very fun. imagine if the pipes had to be custom done. I am running the stage 1 pulley, I believe it is either 90 or 95mm

Why are you going to run the 100mm with the stage 2 IC ?? I dont get it do you mean the 95mm ( stage1 /1.5) If you are getting a 8 rip eye pulley you should talk them into doing a 90mm

status update: once i got home i open the box look at the pulley it was at 95mm, I'am still work with the 6 rip eye set up so i should be at 9 to 10 psi really am working with 1.25 stage lol...and the transmission swap, well i ran out of R&R / family time i might have spent maybe 4 hours a day on it but i made it half way. came home with 4 different projects in mind for the M, but everything is ready to go back in, Oct is my nexts R&R/wedding date brake. hopefully i've it done before i get married due to the fact i know it wont get done after that...post some pic's on this profile.
