Default Individual interior thread!

I have noticed that there have been a tons of threads regarding individual exterior colors, but very few with special interiors. So here is my attempt to get this thread going! I'll post what I have, you guys do the rest!

Both the estoril/black and red/black 2 tones are amazing!

Is it possible to retro-fit this combo? I love the IR interior but had to have Carbon Black exterior as it is just too cool. I would really like to two-tone the interior as plain black is a bit boring on such a sport-oriented car.

There are a couple of ways to do the bicolor interior. The BMW parts system has part numbers for BMW Individual bicolor seats; you would order new seat covers with black sides and red centers. There are a couple of pieces you would not need -- you could use your original headrests and the small fixed pieces on the rear seatback that don't fold, for example. This would leave your car all OEM but would be very expensive -- I'm thinking like at least 4K plus labor. Also, I predict you would have trouble getting the bicolor parts. (I'm the guy that's been working on getting birch anthracite for a couple of months; still no luck.)

The other option would be to buy some BMW IR nappa leather and have a good upholstery shop remove your covers and replace sections of black with red. Didn't somebody on the board do this with Estoril? Cheaper approach, I would think.

Either way, big project! But I agree the two-tone looks good.
