Default clutch squeak on smg

I've started to notice that when my car shifts (smg) it makes a small squeak noise. Kinda like a grandma rocking in her rocking chair. It's not very loud so I only notice it when I am going slow. Does anyone else's car make this noise. I'm wondering if it has always been there but I am just noticing it now or if I can grease/lubricate something to eliminate the sound. Thanks.

Does it happen with all the gears when it is hot and cold?

I noticed there is a very slight 'thud' going from 1st to 2nd only during the very FIRST shift when cold.

I'm guessing the sound is coming from outside the car. Check your slave cylinder for any leaks or noise. If there aren't any leaks, it could be your flywheel squeaking.

Finally, someone else with the same problem. Mine does the exact same thing. It isn't a thud, nor driveline lash. I actually thought something was loose under the hood, occurring when the clutch is being engaged because the engine will vibrate/shake a bit more while the clutch is slipping. There were some slightly loose bolts for the air intake, which I tightened to no avail.

It definitely happens in first, second, and third gear. Above that, road noise is too high to hear the squeak, but I can't imagine that it doesn't occur.

I've had the car to the dealer 3 times now who, each time, claims to not be able to replicate the problem. I need to schedule time for a test drive with the foreman but just haven't had time...

Have you noticed if yours is worse when hot or cold? Or always the same? My hunch is this is worse at the end of the day, but it might just be because I'm tired in the morning and pay less attention...
