It's the fact that there are only 500 in the world and the price tag actually makes them want it MORE. In Taiwan, all the ballers will know the owner dropped close to $1mil USD to get one of these car's (that's right... almost 3x the price of america) and there will literally only be a handful available.

As mentioned time over time like a broken record, if you even need to consider how much this car costs you are NOT the right consumer for it. This car is sold the f out... ballers with too much money that want a piece of exclusivity.

Also, Lexus IS a respected brand that has presence everywhere in the world.

As much as I dislike Caseyboy tellem, I have to agree in nearly lockstep with his posts in this thread. The LFA is incredibly ugly. If this were made by a european manufacturer it would be even more viciously panned by this forum for what an abomination it is. :brokenrecord: It is over priced. Period. No further discussion. The car sounds good. Big effin deal. The car has a nice interior. Fantastic. But in no way is it a $400k car. It is ugly. It is slow. I know I am not in the super baller bracket that can buy one, but I can promise I never would. There are too many great cars that can be had for that money. I know that people that buy this car are on their 5th f40, 3rd Enzo, 32nd Scud and Have dabbled with a few dozen lp670's, and now want something truly exciting...oh.

The 'collector' argument equally totally fails, as you could have a Countach, Dino and 288GTO for that price- all of which are really building in value- not to mention presence. Heck, you could have a Daytona and a Countach.

Not sure that people that buy this car have any intentions of collecting it.
