The gunsmoke is a perfect color. I didn't want super dark, as I wanted to leave some red. It gave the red parts a cherry smoked color, which is exactly what I was aiming for. Very happy with the outcome.

Letting them cure overnight and then finishing up some corners/edges tomorrow after work

do u know if they have anything lighter than that? i want just a very slight tint

I believe that is the lightest they offer, but don't hold me to that.

Old topic but this probably is most relevant. Just wondering, is option 1 legal? I know in CA you're not allowed to have any tint on the red portion, but what about just blacking out the clear portion?

Stock tail lights are perfect. I wouldn't change anything. IMO tinting them looks cheap.

What I would do is concentrate on getting suspension and putting the LMs on before stressing about tail light tint.

Chris, a year later and still no suspension or lms

Modification of tail lights is illegal in California unless done from the supplier, given they have gone through all the proper steps.. With that said I never get harassed for tail lights in california unless I'm being pulled over for lack of plates...

My car for reference.

I like these too.
Is that Lamin-X?
I have a set of headlamp, fog and tail tint in the lightest film, 6% I believe it was. Also have Depo corners and sides.
Haven't installed it yet.... waiting for spring.
Will do a complete blackout in spring, really looking forward driving a "stock" car into the garage, and pull out a "new" car a few hours later

I'm running medium, or gunsmoke, film on the lower red portion of the tail light and no film on the upper white portion. I think I used the same film on the front corners (see sig), but I can't remember for sure. BTW - I tried the film on the fog lights but did like it look. Now, I'm considering trying the fog light delete.
