HK amp is only for the rear deck subwoofer. HK amp is located in the HK subwoofer. the stock NAV amp is located in the trunk near the DVD player. even if you remove the NAV head unit, the radio still plays because the tuner is next to the amp in the trunk.

Ok. I got in the trunk and what I have are the following:
1. DVD Nav
2. TV Module
3. CD Changer
4. Bluetooth Module
5. Radio Module

There is no seperate amp that I can see. This is why I am asking if the stock amp (non HK car) is located within the radio module/tuner or in the Nav Head Unit??

Hope that makes my question clearer.

I have a major high pitched whistle on all inputs except nav and bluetooth and I am trying to figure out if it is the head unit or the radio module.

See this thread (video of symptoms on page 2)

I just pulled out all the nav stuff from the trunk. What I had was:
1. DVD unit
2. Radio receiver
3. Nav amp

I also removed the subs w/ amp on it...

Also, has anyone taken out the harness? Im having trouble disconnecting the harness from the front area near the driver side along the lower door area. Theres a wire that goes into the front driver door thats not on the harness diagram. Also, how do you get to the wire that plugs into the gauge cluster? I'm using the DIY from E46fanatics by Technic.
Thanks.

Can someone post a picture of these two tabs that we have to depress? I know it's somewhere located near the two knobs at the bottom. I've tried poking everywhere with my nail filers but nothing seem to be clicked or depressed! I've been stuck on this for over an hour! Going crazy here.

Any links of a picture or something? Thank you guys.

this vid shows the clips @ 6:48. pull the tool outwards away from the head unit. this will push the tabs in and allow the head unit to come out. also push on the back of the head unit.
