DEQ showing "Un-available" for all parameters...
Took my 2002 BMW M3 to the DEQ for testing. They hooked up to the OBDII connection, it was communicating but all of the tests were "Unavailable" I called the dealer who had no idea.
Someone at DEQ suggested I needed to "flash" the computer. Outside of me standing in the garage with my clothes off and the hood up, can anyone explain what this means?
When I connect my reader, it shows no error codes. The guy at the DEQ also connected with a handheld reader and said that there are no codes but that there were some signals that were missing. The only thing that I can think of since the last emissions test was a battery replacement. The stealer had no idea what I was talking about but was more than willing to have me come in. Any one have experience with this type of issue?
DEQ also suggested that chip mods could have the same effect...I have not modified the car.
My blower motor resistor is also going out...is there any reason this would have this affect?
Thanks in advance,
Clark
