Pretty crazy to see what I've started with the vanos filter service!

When I did mine, the plastic part that is with the bigger o-rings broke. It seems you cat order this plastic part separately. Any harm in running without that plastic ring ?

I picked mine up at the dealer for the same price... without shipping of course. Just give them the part numbers.

Which items did you get specifically? And how much was it all together?

The filter and both o-rings. Right at $20 iirc (I'll go find the receipt and report back if different), although I had to wait for the o-rings to arrive at the dealer since they didn't have them in stock. Either way, it made more sense to buy from the dealer than order online due to shipping costs, which would immediately eat up any difference in price.

I'd only order online as part of a larger order. And, I'd use a different vendor, but that's another story.
