It seems the new m3 one will work with night time illumination only but that will do ;-)

IIRC, his is the same as yours, only he sanded it in prep for paint...but ended up leaving the sanded look as it looked like brushed aluminum.

Does anyone have the missing photos from the thread below? It looks like it should be 2 pictures.

As you can see we are connecting pins #4 & #5 on the shift knob. The wire with the white stripe is pin#1.



Here you see the connector (SMG Speed Selector) I tapped into. You need to tap into pins #1 and #4 on the green connector.
