Has anyone figured out a way to change the battery?

assuming you're not talking about the car in your sig.. just unscrew the little booger on the bottom of the remove, take apart the remote, and replace the battery..

Its actually a sealed key. I figured with all the DIYers in here that someone figured out how to change the battery instead of having to buy a new key.

let me ask you this:
If i have only one key, how would i reprogram it?

I have taken my only key apart, but i am afraid to disconnect the old battery...

I am trying to start the car with the board that was inside the key not being close to ignition and it lids up, but car does not start. I kind have to keep pieces together and then I can start it.

I don't want to get stranded once i remove the old battery and end up with a key with a good/new battery but needs to be programmed...

Seems to me too risky to proceed with replacing the batteries when i have only one key and I have confirmed that this board even though it is not connected to the metal part of the key, it does need to be at least close to the ignition to be able to start.

I am really confused...

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
