I install schumacher automatic 1.5 amp on board chargers. Just plug it in and forget about it.

By the way, replace that battery. 6 years is way past it's use.

Wall outlet. No harm in leaving it on constantly.

I leave the tender on my battery from early October until sometime in March/April.

I never really needed it during the summer months as I constantly drive it then. I do know of people putting them on their bikes all year around though. Many times they have the standard clamps at the end with a quick disconnect within the line. I believe that the directions actually call for leaving the clamps on the battery and just connecting using the quick connects. This does not really save me anytime, so I do not do it. However, how on a bike the batteries can be a PITA to get to, I could have used it in that manner.

Not at all rocket science dude. Buy one, use it.

Bikes are 12v. At least my 2010 R6, my friends 2008 GSX-R and my younger brothers 06 ZX-6R are...

Currently have a little 250 Ninja, but gonna be moving up to either a CBR600RR or a Daytona 675. So 12V it is.

I have been using the battery tender jr since I have had my M for nearly 7 years. I'm still on the original oem battery. I usually park my car from Nov-March with this bad boy plugged in and thus far has proved excellent. BatteriesPlus sells it for just under 30 bucks.
