Default Question about changing engine mounts....

I'm about to swap out for new OEM motor mounts and I prefer the subframe lowering technique over the raise the engine one. I already have engine cherry picker from Harbor Freight to hold engine up. My question is does the control arm and FCAB's need to be removed or can I leave them alone and just pull the subframe down enough to swap the engine mounts? Bentley says to remove FCAB's and inner control arm ball joint mounting nut. I prefer not to as I stupidly just swapped my FCABs and do not want to disturb them. It seems there would be enough room and play to leave control arm and FCAB's alone but wanted to check with you guys who have done this first.... Thanks

I haven't done the job but I don't think you have to remove the FCABs or control arms. I don't remember Pete and Caesar doing that at the DIY meet were at way back when. They just supported the engine and lowered the subframe enough to swap out the bushings.

I kinda remember reading on here that one member had a difficult time lining the subframe back up afterwards, didn't read the thread entirely but perhaps that's why Bently recommends it the way they do.
