yes it works. i was skeptical at first, but after i installed the windscreen i can't have the top down without it being up.

As mentioned above, they are not specific to M3's, but any e46 so you can definitely get your hands on one quickly and relatively inexpensive - compared to what BMW sells them for. I've never experienced the other brand windscreen someone posted above. I'd stick oem with these unless others have used them and can testify.

Works great until there is a 20+ MPH head/side wind. Then it slams into the folded position. Mine is an OEM part from Bavarian AutoSsports
