Thanks! It's our seat for now until we get everything up and running properly. We'll likely go fixed-back later, but I thought the rule was don't run fixed back without a bar/cage... oh well, either way, we'll have a fixed back, harnesses along with the roll bar.

More progress this weekend... had hoped to get the bar welded in, but didn't quite make it. We did get all of the sound deadening material up, and the bar bolted in. Also replaced the ball joints on the new (to us) Z3 steering rack (no pics).
Sound deadening material removal was a pain in the butt. The heat gun worked really well, but some of the material was pretty stuck. It was a job well worth it after seeing how much all that stuff weighs. New radiator, water pump, hoses and t-stat are on the way, so with those, we should get the front end back together. We estimated in the 30-35 pound range at least. It sure doesn't seem like that much when pulling it up piece by piece, but when it's all in one trash bag, it adds up. Taking that out helps offset the weight of the rollbar.
Oh yeah... we removed the sunroof + motor + cassette... probably another 30-40 pounds out of the top. Sunroof delete is going in next weekend.

Wow guys that looks awesome. If you guys ever need a hand give me a call. My Saturday mornings are usually pretty slow, wouldn't mind coming out and doing what I can.

Thanks, and would love to have your help! We've been working on it just about every Saturday morning. Let me know if you can make it, and I'll confirm that we're working that day. I'm usually up and at it by 8:30

It's hard to believe how much the sunroof weighs.
BTW, the new radiator etc might be here before the weekend. Did Jarod get the water pump ordered?
