Default programming sidemirrior/seats and such

I have a 01 E46 and i saw a thread the other day with this information in it, if any1 can pass me the link for it or to tell me how to do so. ALSO,only my right side mirrior moves down ( to see the line) while backing up is that how the feature works? or is it a setting thats jacked up?

The mirror is supposed to do that. If you put the selector switch to the right as if you were going to adjust the mirror it will lock out that feature. As for the memory, once you have the seat and mirrors set, hold the M button until it lights solid red then release, and push the number you want to use for that setting 1 2 or 3.

That sums it up perfectly.

I also remember reading somewhere that it was possible for you to program to have both side mirrors tilting downward if you wished to do so. I am not sure how true that is though.
