I have NCS Expert available to code cars..

There are several things I've coded to my car. And i could do it for you too..
FREE come to my house, ill do it here. or if theres a meet and i bring the laptop ill do it there. feel free to tip or buy a beer. if you think about it this is about an hours worth of time at dealer. so about $100 in savings.

PAID won't be expensive.. ill come to you.. you compensate my gas and time.. maybe like 20-50 bux depending on how much you want done.. at the same time i guess ill let you decide what its worth to you.. i won't be greedy with it.. id even take a 12 pack of bud light lime or buy me lunch/dinner

first lets start with COMFORT OPENING---- WITHOUT SUNROOF
now there are different variations of this such as open all, open without sunroof, open without rear vents, open without either.

then we have COMFORT CLOSING
there are variations to this.. such as close only certain things but thats kinda senseless, if it isn't open it won't close, and u wanna close everything.

then LOCK/UNLOCK INDICATORS WITHOUT ALARM
i don't have an alarm so this was useful for me.. but if you have an alarm and u need it to either indicate/not indicate or sound/not sound, that can be done too!

next up, ADJUSTABLE PASSENGER REAR VIEW MIRROR WHILE CAR IN REVERSE
pretty much allows you to adjust the mirror so it doesn't just point directly at the ground.

M-TRACK MODE (believe this is only available on 03 and up?)
press the DSC button once to activate M-Track mode. (lights us m-track light)
hold the DSC button to turn off all assistance. (lights up DSC light)

FOG LIGHTS ON WITH HIGH BEAM
when high beams are on fog lights can't stay active..if they are on already they will be turned off and if high beams are on you can't turn on the fogs.
variation to this would be to allow the halogen flasher high beams to run with the high beams and the fogs.. (lol its like a spaceship with all the lights.)

CORNER DELETE - EURO STYLE
self explanatory..


SERVICE INDICATOR MILES
lowered it down to about 7000 miles that way it would more accurately tell me how my oil is doing. can be set to different numbers. its set in KM and originally is 25000, i set it for 11000.


ONE TOUCH REAR VENTS
allows the rear vents to close one touch. gotta modify the switches a bit but its really easy.
didn't take a picture of it but I'm sure u can imagine what it does.. instead of holding the button to close the vents, it allows for the second click up so they close automatically.

NO BEEP WHEN KEY IN IGNITION
when they key is in the ignition but not at position 2 the car beeps obnoxiously if your door is open. eliminate it. =)

Interesting. What are your creditials if you don't mind me asking? Technician or enthusiest? What models have you worked on? Any experiance with the CSL SMGII download discussed in Obiban's thread? http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=377715 I am a controls engineer and not only looking to get some coding done this winter, but very interested in some over the sholder experience in the process.

I'm just an enthusiast. And I've only worked on my own car and another friends car, both e46 M3s. i don't really know any bmw owners around me, and the ones that do also have e46's. I've never been a technician at any shop, I'm a diy type of person. i like working on cars and helping other with them but i could never work as any type of mechanic.. people come in with dumbass problems all the time and its annoying.

No experience with the CSL part, but i will be doing it to mine eventually.. probably this coming winter.. i need to get a battery charger that can sustain sufficient voltage so the whole test can run its course..

Everything i know about it has been learned thru reading, and re-reading, explanations and tutorials others have posted among various sites. after all that reading, i started pulling files out of my own car and slowing going thru and finding what interests me and changing it. i kept track of everything i changed in a text file where i wrote the code, what i changed it to, and what it does. makes for simple, changing back, or easily find of same stuff on other cars.

Thanx! I'm in brownsburg Indiana. It is just west of Indianapolis. But I can travel all thru out the city
