Agreed. It seems like Evosport is the only fully US-made header. But starting with mild steel and then the way the GB thread went down... pass.
I thought 321 was a higher grade? That would give the edge to AP.
Fabspeed and SG use 304 grade.

Honestly, and you all know what I do

I love Fabspeeds, they were my first and best

SS grade 304 is the most widely used and available grade of SS and is also the least expensive to produce. It is more widely used for N/A applications and has slightly less corrosion resistance than 321, which also has higher resistance to thermal fatique.

Right.. 321 is more corrosion resistant and has higher resistance to thermal fatigue.
I don't care what the price to produce or rarity is.. that is factored in on consumer pricing. Given that AP is priced between SG and Fabspeed, but is the only of the 3 with this superior grade of SS makes me think it's a no brainer. Unless I am missing something, which I usually am.

LOL, no, you're not missing anything...but 304 is perfectly fine for mild performance applications. It's really only when you get to high hp F/I applications that 321 becomes the better choice. I think that anyone of the above headers are fine, just almost comes down to personal preference and what your application is...AP's certainly aren't a bad choice!

Just to bring this back from the dead and state a point: it seems to me like the only headers among this group that have a *real* collector, are the FabSpeed's. Am I mistaken? I haven't seen any of these in person, but from the pictures, it appears that every header other than the FabSpeeds have stamped collectors, where the FabSpeeds have an actual cut and welded (proper) collector.

Correct me if I'm wrong?

I'm 99.99% sure that parts for all of these headers either come from the same overseas factory or one right down the street from it, and I believe that most are even assembled there as well; however the Fabspeeds advertise that they are 'Made In The USA', so it could be that the collectors (at least) are 'fabbed' in-house??? Not 100% sure as I've seen the other headers up close, but not the Fabspeeds. From the pics they look identical enough though...hmmm...

If thats the only difference, then it seems worth it to me. *If* indeed they do have real collectors, which they appear to. This is actually the only thing thats been stopping me from getting headers, I really want real collectors on my headers

This reminds me of the argument I had with my buddy that all soda's, regardless of brands, pretty much come from the same factories.

On a side note, with just 200 cell cats and mean one headers, I layed down 290whp. Im interested in how much different the runner design is when compared to the fabspeed

Could someone please explain to me the advantages to these headers (other than weld quality and steel strength) to the Ebay/Raceland/SS rep headers and a disadvantages it has against a SS V1 stepped???

Thanks
