Thanks folks. I agree whole heartily in getting to know your mechanic. I have a good guy down the road who I really do trust. He has no M3 clients, and would tend to use his normal mobile one oil for example. I've had a long standing personal relationship with him ( shop owner), have cell phone etc.... He agreed to pre-order specific items like the oil filter if I requested, but he's just not familiar with the M3.

All guidance is appreciated, and Thanks

I say go to somebody who is familar with the car. Thus, your trusted mechanic may not be the best choice. If he comes across an SMG error light, do you think he will know to change the salmon relay (<$20) first before suggesting a whole new pump?

Can a regular shop, or at least a place like Autobahn Natick take proper care of this? I still think I need a Turner or BPG to do my service 2 with valve adjustments, but I'm not yet convinced either are worth the trip for my regular stuff. Help set me straight! Lol

I'm getting the clear opinion that all enthusiasts ally like the Indy shops, any would appreciate your inputs for a driver like me.

Thanks
Turner is an Indy shop... they have established a solid reputation in there quality level and racing mechanics.. no one i would rather if it was in a reasonable distance..

Turner, just because they always have parts in stock. And at good prices.
