Default Re: SMG Replacing Just the Accumulator

Yep, been a couple years since I had one apart, and went MIA for a while after a major garage and basement cleanout. The driven side is obvious to mate with motor, but other side has same diameter and length shafts either side of the gear, it could go in either way were it to fall out upon splitting that side of the middle plate.
Looked at my motor Saturday night too. No real manufacturer ID on mine. There is a barcode, 49007000322022, but google turns up nothing for that. And the letters / logo:
>MVO< on the electrical connector where it sits inside the baseplate, but assume that's the connector company and again, no help from google. There are some other numbers on the baseplate, but they straddle some stamped holes, so can't get a complete read there. Something like: RES??110 ______02 1520 - can't read the question marks or be certain it's 2 digits, and the underscores are really at the top, separating these two sequences.
Can you read any more numbers on yours?
*edit* just realized you're the guy having the motor rewound, look forward to how it goes when they get it sorted out and back to you!*

Here is my question.

Im assuming that I can just replace the accumulator without having to take out the entire pump from the car. But will I still need the autogenety tool to program the pump once I have removed the accumulator and put in a new one?

Thanks.
Don't do this based on a feeling. Get DIS up an running and you can test it as shown below.

Thanks, very different number, but looks the same, probably supplier's lot number or similar.
