Post BlackOnBlack's 2005 ///M3 ZCP 6MT (PICS!)

M3Forum,
I picked up another M3 recently and I thought I'd create a journal to keep track of all my future mods and maintenance for the car.
All comments, suggestions, and feedback are greatly appreciated. I'll update this thread regularly as I mod the car so stay tuned in!
(Keep in mind, this thread will be filled with iPhone 5 Pictures as well as Photoshoot pictures) Here goes:

- 2005 Grey/Black
- 6MT
- ZCP Competition Package
- Sports Package
- NAV MKIV w/ iPod Connect
- Harmon Kardon Sound System
- Black Napa Leather with Dual Memory Seats
- Sunroof

It's completely stock with 19" OEM ZCP's (which I adore atm).
I did some preventative maintenance work as soon as I got it like Inspection II as so on (you can check out my Inspection II Review Thread Here)

I'll start off with some of the very first pictures ever taken of the car:

After a couple weeks, I contacted M3Forum member "Kaiv" for Inspection II service, valve adjustment, and a few other misc. things.
Car runs VERY smooth, so I decided to take it on a drive up in the Malibu Canyons, right along the coast. My buddy John Batte @JohnBattePhotography came along and took some snapshots as well:

- The absolute first mod was a clutch-stop. The clutch feels a lot better and much comfier.
The absolute BEST mod for $3. I got the DIY from Obioban's Thread Here.

- 20% Tints and Smoked DEPO Corners came next. I was passing by my tint shop, Sunshield, and figured why not kick-start the modding with some tints.
Personally, I need tint because I find it extremely annoying driving with glare. As for the DEPO Smoked Corners, I'm going to be going for the black out look so these were mandatory. Tints and Depo corners pics:

MORE COMING SOON!
I ordered the Blackout Package (Black Fr/Side Grilles), Angel Eyes, and Painted Reflectors
from Kholaty recently and will install them as soon as they arrive. More pics comin soon.

Default Re: BlackOnBlack's 2005 ///M3 ZCP 6MT (PICS!)

So it's been a few months... I was enjoying the car pretty much stock with minor mods and to be honest, it's lovely!
I'm taking it slow and trying to do every mod correctly, making sure it's exactly what I want before jumping on it (unlike modding my old M3)...

-Painted Reflectors were mandatory as the next mod. Immediately ordered a set from Khoalty and I am very happy with them.

- Blacked out Grills and Side Gills came directly after. If you noticed, I blacked out the borders of the front grilles, and left the slits stock and it actually looks really good IMO. Different, yet classy.

- Angel Eyes have been sitting in the garage, waiting till I get a couple free hours to DIY. I ordered the Khoalty ones after reading up on them and searching through hundreds of threads and I heard they have a good rep + the video on their website explaining how stable they are made me pull the trigger on these. Pics of the installed angel eyes coming shortly.

On to some pictures!
Pics taken with my iPhone 5 (for now) in Malibu, CA.

Here are some Panoramic shots:

I saw the thread for the F10 M5 Illuminated Shift Knob and I just had to get one! While I was at it, I decided to order a brand new console tray and a brand new cup holder assembly. I highly recommend refreshing your interior with these pieces, especially if your OCD about your car and can't stand scratches that build up over time.

- F10 M5 Shift Knob + New Console Tray + Cup Holders

Again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the updated F10 M5 shift knob. Every shift just feels absolutely smooth and just right.

And...A teaser just for now... More pics and vids comin soon!

1/13/2014

I recently tracked my car at Willow Springs for Josh's Speed District event (member: tightie), and I needed to upgrade my brakes. Instead of spending $$$ on stock ZCP rotors and pads to get the same braking performance as before, I decided to invest in something lighter, with better heat dissipation, preferably 2-piece, and slotted.

I came across the ECS Tuning 2-Piece Front Brake Rotors (345x28). In my opinion, they are definitely a better buy. 2-piece design, aluminum hats, better wear resistance, drilled & slotted, and weight savings to reduce unsprung weight for better braking and turning.

Here are some pics:

So, were finally in the summertime where I have much more time to post and mod the M. Instead of a few pictures, I decided to finally create an inspirational video about the E46 M3. A lot of time and hard work was put into this video to make it exactly the way I wanted so please let me know what you think, I appreciate all of your posts and opinions!
