muf,

Thanks for your info. I experienced the problem first time two days ago.

I recall that someone mentioned that the problem could be related to the program and BMW AG's working on that (release 26??). Did your dealer mention anything about that?

Thanks

Thanks for the post muf...my 01 coupe has had the problem for the past 10k miles. The dealer had told me that it was my software that was causing the shut down, but now i will also mention this news about the fuel pump having a problem. As you mentioned about your car, it does not matter what the temp is in my car as well. Here in Florida, i've started the car in 95 degree temps and it still would have a rough idle and want to shut down. Also, do the dealers usually have this fuel pump in stock?? I hate having to wait for them to get their parts in!.

Okay, I think I got jinxed by this one.

I read this post a while back muf, and YEP, it has done to me for the past three days. Temp here is around 90 these days, but still, the first crank is a stall!!
I don't like it, not one BIT!!!
I had my whole engine assembly replaced recently, and I don't need this Bull Sh... It's nothing major, because after the first stall, the car runs and purrrrrrs , just fine. But that tiny prob is there, and I know it, and well that's pretty much it. Wish this damn stall prob would've started a little before my 2000 km inspection, that way I could've asked them to take a look at it right away. Now I've got to book an appointment AGAIN!! and have them try and solve this stall prob.
rattttttttttttttttssssssssss

Still love my M3 though, once she's runing, just get out of my way!!Break in is done, and the party is oooooonnnnnn!!!
