Or a car with a shifter that does not blow. His observations are obviously correct, since everyone agrees.

Seemed like you both missed the point of my thread. This was the first time I drove a M3 and I did not know what to expect. I have driven only manual cars all my life and I don't think I would ever go the SMG route, not unless I get a unbelievable deal on a SMG.

All your posts have been extremely helpful. I am going to be test driving a couple of more manual's over the next few weeks and will post my experience with them.

on my car i just hate the clunky shifting specially to second gear, its the feel and that small clunk noise that the car makes that gets annoying, but other than that the 6MT is awesome, i love it.

Nothing fancy compared to the M3.....

92 AWD Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (405 WHP)
90 FWD Mitsubishi Eclipse (Slightly modded daily driver)
90 300ZXTT (450 RWHP)

08 MazdaSpeed3 GT (Current Daily Driver)

Out of these cars, the 300ZXTT stock tranny was the most amazing. Seems like the SSK would be a great addition for the M3. Looking forward to driving another manual M3 this weekend

I felt that clunk noise when i drove that car and that's what got me concerned. I'll have a better feel for this when I drive some more M3's.
