Hello everyone, I noticed I am having a coolant leak near the back of the motor. Its not a hard core leak, I only see drips collecting. The car doesn't run hot or anything. All of the drips are collecting on the aluminum brace that attaches to the FCABs/Lower Control Arms. I crawled under my car this weekend and pulled off the plastic front tray to access my Vanos Hard line. That's when I noticed the coolant. There is nothing on the plastic drip tray, so I assume its coming from the back of the motor.
Any ideas on what parts are back there that would leak? I researched and most people have had problems with the front of the motor, like temp sensor o-ring, or water pump/thermostat area, but those are dry on my car. I plan on pulling the aluminum brace this weekend and doing a pressure test to see where its coming from, but if anyone has any ideas on any coolant problems back there let me know. FYI my M3 is an 02 w/ 96,000 miles. Thanks! |
