Yes, I have searched
only thing i came up with was alot of the usual diff clunks (Which i know all about - replacing with RP next week)about the time i fitted the 19" CSL wheels, i started hearing a strange , dry rubbing sound coming form the left rear wheel when taking a turn to the left. as time went by it got a bit louder. usually is the worst first thing int he morning or when the car is cold, then slowly goes away when the car heats up. . Now its moved to both rear wheels when turning left or right. FYI, My diff is about 6 months old, fitted by BMW stealership, new diff oil. The tranny was replaced about 2 months ago as well. I'm not sure about the status of my RTABS as i havnt checked them out properly yet...but im not sure if its that or the diff.. Its definatley not the tires touching, ive checked that too... My guess is shock mounts, wheel bearings. diff or RTABS, have any of you had this sound on your M's? Just need to know if I should take it to a suspension shop or my mechanic.. Bit scared to drive the car hard now incase its the subframe or something ![]() any advice will help !
