just tape off where it was with blue tape then remove the old badge then put new one on

exctly what i was going to say.. tape it using that blue 3M painters tape.. take it off. then you will know exactly where it goes back again.

You could, but many from the factory are a bit off.
I always re-do it with the specs.
Also, the 2 pieces are 10mm apart.
