Well, as much as I hate to admit it I think the time may have come for me to part with my M… for my lifestyle it’s just not the most prudent choice of automobile anymore. Perhaps this is ridiculous, or maybe considering how much I have cared for this car it is perfectly reasonable, but I really want to see it go to the right person. Someone who is going to keep it in a garage, not put it through any of those mag chloride mornings, and has the time, money, and desire to keep this car in great shape.
So… for sale- automatic 1995 Dakar BMW M3 120k miles. Luxury package with OEM keyless, very well cared for, second owner, and always garaged. Suspension & Dr. Vanos upgrade done within the last 6 months, as well as a new windshield and front brakes. Water pump, thermostat, and radiator within two years. The car has been a daily driver, but considering that and the age, it really is in great shape. Non BMW people are always blown away to hear it’s a ’95. The paint has a few small imperfections (and I mean small), but otherwise it’s in incredible shape inside and out. The windows are tinted, and while it’s a bit dark for my taste, it has helped to ensure that the interior is in great shape and has absolutely no sun damage. I should note that there is no sunroof in this car, something that always bummed me out, but a benefit for the tall and those who fancy the track. The only other things worth mentioning is that it has a tick on idle through roughly 2500 rpm. My last attempt to have it fixed resulted in the new Vanos last fall, and when that failed to take care of the problem their response was “oh you meant that noise? That’s nothing.” Great to know, after I just paid for a premature Vanos replacement. Oh well though, it had to be done someday, and according to those guys (BMW race specialists) the tick is no sign of impending doom, just one of those engine noises common in older cars. Asking $7700. Please don't waste my time or yours by lowballing me.
