I've been looking for some 18s in a square setup and the ideal wheel looks to be a 9.5 width with a 35mm offset. Well, wheeldude has a set of 9" rotas with a 35mm offset at a great price, but is the difference in width going to play a big role even if I only want to run a 265 tire?
Yes, I know Rota isn't an ideal wheel, but I like the style and color and I'll only be using them for auto cross. A lot of suby guys use the rotas for that kind of racing so the strength of them doesn't seem to be an issue. I know I'll regret it if I ever slam into a curb, but I'd regret it worse in a nice BBS or Volk rim. The wheel in question: I think they look quite nice, but maybe its just me. Anyhow are they going to suck on the track because of the .5" less in width? Weights are supposed to be around 21 lbs each
