Any muffler shop will have a device for expanding pipes that should put those back round in about 2 minutes for $10. I'd look forward and see what could be done at a shop. Maybe there's more damage than shown in the pics, but if not, it should be minor to resolve.
I'd not want to have deal with it either, but people make mistakes. If you can get it fixed with less stress on your own than trying to get the seller to respond, you'll be happier, faster. This may not be possible, but take a step back, think of alternatives, and see what gets you where you want to be with this with the least stress and effort. ADS
