Back on track with my original post,

Does anyone know anything about the pioneer shallow mounts? And if they're any good?

Most of the reviews i've found say they sound great.

Looking into it, i'd need an amp and custom mounting for the pioneers wouldn't i? The stock HK subs are 2ohm 6x9s and these are 4ohm 8s.

JL Audio stealthboxes are great for many of the cars I've used them on but on the E46 BMW m3 it's not the greatest solution. I've tried them and think they failed....

Going custom is always the best bet but be prepared to spend some cash. I had this setup in my s2000 and the concept is the same for the BMW. The m3 version is removeable with quick release bolts for access to the battery below.

I helped my friend do this one for his 645ci a ways back:

my s2000 setup:

rick,

nice setup there.. but i think the OP is looking for something like this..

I'm looking for a minor bass upgrade in my e46 m3 (over the harmon kardon) without upgrading the amp. The jl audio stealthboxes looked like the best option but i can't seem to find them anywhere... what would you guys suggest as an alternative? I'm looking for minimal footprint as well.
